Anjali Arora, who was seen in Lock Upp and emerged as one of the finalists, is very happy with her journey on the show. The 21-year-old social media influencer spoke to ETimes TV exclusively about her bond with Munawar Faruqui, coming so close and not winning the trophy and family's reaction to her game. Anjali also reacted to comments of faking a love angle on the show with Munawar Faruqui to stay in the game. She further shared about her boyfriend Aakash's reaction to #Munjali and if he was jealous after seeing her bond with Munawar. She plans to meet Prince Narula as she is back in Mumbai after spending time with family and boyfriend Aakash. (Photo: Instagram)

I am very happy and things have changed for me. I am feeling really nice after coming into the real world after spending 72 days inside Lock Upp and feeling great to meet people. The first thing I did after coming out of the Lock Upp show was I met my father. He was not allowed to come inside during the grand finale. He hugged me and said that he is really proud of me and I am the winner for him. It was a really proud moment for me. (Photo: Instagram)

I handled the defeat very graciously. There are people who can’t handle defeat. I feel acceptance is very important in life. Maybe I lacked in some aspects and that’s why I didn’t become the winner. I gave my 100 percent but maybe the other person worked harder than me. I take it as a lesson for life that if you do anything go all out and give your best. Don’t hold yourself back. (Photo: Instagram)

My journey has been amazing in the Lock Upp jail. It was like a roller-coaster ride, full of ups and downs. I have shown all the emotions in my journey. Be it happy, sad, crying, jealousy. I did not hide my emotions. I wasn’t fake at all and showed my real emotions, unlike others who fake emotions, make fake bonds with Co-contestants. All my relationships in the house were real and pure. I also realised my strengths, abilities and also started recognising people. (Photo: Instagram)

Prince is like my elder brother and I am always going to stay connected with him. He always guided me and motivated me to do well. I respect him a lot and have followed him even before Lock Upp. I always respected him as he has won four shows and I have a different level of respect for him in my heart. I have considered him as my brother since day one. I took all his suggestions. I still share the same bond with him and we speak to each other on call as brother-sister. Whenever anyone has said anything wrong about me inside Lock Upp or outside, he has supported me. We plan to meet soon. (Photo: Instagram)

I can’t change anyone’s opinion about me. I don’t know what they have seen and why they feel so. As far as my friendship with Munawar was concerned, it was from day 1. The moment we got into one team, we started bonding. It became stronger as we did tasks together, made game plans and spent a lot of time together. It is wrong to say that we used each other for the game because we always stood for each other be it for the game or personal talks or emotional moments. When I was unwell he took care of me and when he got injured I was looking after him. These emotions were organic and it should not be called using each other. All the Munjali fans know that our friendship was pure. (Photo: Instagram)

I have shown all my emotions inside the house. I did not fake at any level of the game. When I accepted having feelings for Munawar, I did not back track. I stayed firm on it. Mujhe jhooth bol kar kya milta… I don’t care what others will think about me. I strongly believe if you are real people will love you no matter what. Even if you make mistakes people will understand you and forgive you as long as you are real. I played my game with the same motto: be real, honest and don’t be fake. (Photo: Instagram)

It’s a normal thing, human nature to feel jealous. When you love someone or like someone and if that person starts bonding with some else, you feel possessive. Bhale he woh aap ka dost he kyun na ho, aap thoda sa feel karne lagte ho. Like inside also in Lock Upp, Munawar and I were such good friends that we would have problems if one of us would start giving importance or time to someone else. Agar Munawar kisi se baat karta tha mujhe bura lagta tha, agar main Kisi se baat karti thi he would feel bad. Toh Aakash and Nazila are people who belong to our lives. It is obvious of them to feel possessive. But I would say that he (Aakash) is so understanding and that is one quality which I respect a lot about him. He has handled everything in a mature way and tackled everything very nicely. Main Aakash ki bahut respect karrti hoon ke usne mujhe Iss baare mein ek sawaal tak nahi poocha (He did not question me at all). (Photo: Instagram)

No, my bond with Munawar had no after effects in the outside world. My people in the outside world know me very well and they are very understanding. They know my nature and why I must have done or said certain things. Main Kisi ke baare mein kya sochti hoon, they understand it very well. The way I was in my real life, the same way I was in the Lock Upp jail, they could relate to me very well. Mujhe Kisi ko bhi bahar aake safai dene ki zarurat nahi padi. (Photo: Instagram)

I had no idea what was going in the outside world. But I very well knew what was happening inside the house. I knew my bond and friendship with Munawar. My mother would never understand it, she was judging it as an audience and wanted her daughter to play well and be safe. As a parent she must have thought that our friendship is getting misunderstood outside and she asked me to stay away from him. But I had full faith in our friendship and that it was pure. (Photo: Instagram)

I enjoyed the last entire week with my family which included Aakash and his family also as they are my family. We had our brother’s function and Aakash's family and all of us had a blast. Now, I am back to work and then we will see. (Photo: Instagram)
